High-speed milling 4/5 axes

What is continuous 4/5-axis high-speed machining?

High-speed machining (HSM) applied to 4- or 5-axis milling combines speed, precision, and flexibility to meet the most demanding requirements. Thanks to high-frequency electrospindles, dynamic acceleration, and advanced combined toolpath management, this technology enables the creation of complex shapes and evolving geometries while ensuring optimal dimensional stability.

4- or 5-axis milling ensures high efficiency for parts requiring controlled rotations and continuous machining. It allows for the simultaneous management of the workpiece position and the cutting tool orientation on multiple axes. This provides maximum access to difficult areas, reduces repositioning, and improves the accuracy and quality of machined surfaces.

Combined with HSM strategies, this process guarantees smooth material removal, controlled thermal performance, and high-quality surface finishes. Ideal for prototyping, small technical series and the production of highly demanding parts.
